We are very grateful for the support we receive from major donors, trusts, and volunteers all of whom play a significant part in enabling us to carry on our work helping children, young people, and adults with histiocytosis and their families.
Histio UK works closely with our major supporters and philanthropic individuals. We are here to discuss how you or your trust might support us financially, or share with us your business expertise and networks through involvement with our volunteer led event and fundraising committees.
Above all, we are committed to understanding your philanthropic objectives and working with you on a personal, one to one level. You will be at the very heart of our plans to support all families and patients that receive a devastating histiocytosis diagnosis.
Major donors
Histio UK is entirely reliant on voluntary income and private donations to fund its work. Our major donors are essential in helping us to deliver our services and plan for the future.
How major donors help us
We rely on major donations to help us:
• Provide children, young people, adults and families with a wide range of valuable information, literature and practical materials on histiocytosis and its impact.
• Campaign and influence others to raise awareness of the needs of children, young people and adults with histiocytosis to improve the support they receive.
• Promote the furtherance of scientific research into the physiology and pathology of histiocytes and histocytiocytic diseases.
• Development of more accurate means of diagnosis, improved protocols for management of patients and ultimately measures for prevention of histiocytic diseases.
